Solid fuel boilers - Manual operation

Solid fuel boilers - Manual operation

Classic of cast iron! Our cast iron floor standing boilers for solid fuels have been reliable source of cheap heat for several decades, not only in Europe. Proved construction, operational reliability and resistance, unrivalled lifetime – all of it are our main advantages of cast iron boilers for wood, coke and hard or brown coal.

Automatic boilers for solid fuels represent modern way of utilization of solid fuel resources - especially wood pellets and sorted brown and hard coal. They achieve simplicity of gas boilers by their comfort of control and regulation. They allow use some advantages of automatic operation controlled by room regulator also in the areas without gas distribution.

Manual operation

1. Hercules U22, model 2010

Output: 11,7 – 58,1 kW
Fuel: hard coal, coke, wood, wooden briquettes
Universal cast iron boiler for houses as well as smaller structures with dead load or forced heating water circulation. The universality of this boiler lies in the possibility of adaptation from solid fuel to gas/liquid fuel and vice versa. The boiler has a long life time, low requirements for chimney draught and easy manipulation - regulation elements include only chimney flap and draught regulator for the control of combustion air supply. There is a special version with larger stoking opening for the prevalent use of wood for burning.

U26_2010.jpg
Hot-water cast iron boiler HERCULES U 26 is intended for burning of solid fuels – coke, hard coal and wood (wooden briquettes) by classical fire penetration. The boiler is produced in its own output from 8 up to 63 kW. The shell is formed by cast iron units of own production and includes also water grates.

The boilers can be used for systems with a gravity circulation and forced water circulation. A feed entrance is adjusted for wood billet manual operation.
There is also a possibility of changing a requested output by the change of a number of units.

5. Hercules U 24

Output: 13 – 74 kW
Fuel: brown coal, hard coal and coke (wood as an additional fuel)
Merits:

- Ecological operation
- Ecological burning of brown coal
- Quality cast iron exchanger
- Output according to a number of units

U24new.jpg
Hot-water boiler HERCULES U 24 burns fuel by burning-up in its cast iron shell at the strictest issue condition class 3 according to ČSN EN 303-5. HERCULES U 24 guarantees a quality way of burning of brown coal, hard coal and coke. Also wood and wooden briquettes can be used as an additional fuel. The boiler is produced in its own output from 13 up to 74 kW according to units and used fuel. Its output can be additionally changed by the change of a number of units. A second draught controller in the back part of the boiler is used from eight-sectional boiler.

Principle of boiler with a burning-up – burning zone is restricted to space between grate and bottom edge of feed shaft, so a high of hot coat remains unchanged instead of fire penetration. When the fuel on the grate burns-up step by step new fuel moves from feed shaft. Incipient combustion products are exhausted into the further boiler draught. These boilers are easily regulated.

6. Hefaistos P1

Output: 30 - 100 kW
Fuel: lump wood
Merits:

- High service life of the cast-iron exchanger
- Ecological operation
- Combustion efficiency - 90 per cent
- Power output according to the number of segments

Hefaistos.jpg
The Hefaistos P1 boiler is a cast-iron pyrolytic sectional low-pressure boiler with metal-sheet feed hopper designed for lump wood combustion at fulfilment of the emission conditions of the 3rd CSN EN 303-5 standard. Combustion of different fuels and materials in this boiler (i.e. plastic) is inadmissible. The boiler is designed in the 30 – 100 kW power output series according to the number of segments. The three-sectional Hefaistos P1 boiler size is appropriate for heating of family houses. The larger boiler sizes are sufficient for the building demands like shops, recreational buildings, cottages, etc.
The boiler is also designed for heating of both the closed and the opened heating systems. The boiler has to be designed with an accumulative container. If the accumulation can not be used, we recommend having of an equalizing reservoir for excessive power output exhaust (about 25 l on 1 kW of boiler power output). The compulsory equipment designed for closed heating systems is security system against overheating – a two-way security valve.
