KOMBIFLEX GAS

Flexible stainless steel tubes for connection gas fired devices

These tubes enable easy connection of gas appliances. The material used - stainless steel AISI316L ( 0.22mm thick) - together with the tube design enable stretching the tube up to twice its original length. At the same time, the tube can be almost freely shaped. Thanks to these properties, ideal connections can be reached that do not contain useless bends amd freely hanging sections.

The tubes are supplied in various lengths and diameters, at both ends fitted with threaded connections. Thread sizes of 1/2", 3/4" a 1" are available. Mostly male and female threads are combined on one tube. Working temperature is from -20°C to +120°C. Max. working pressure is 30 bar, for combustible gases (natural gas, propane, butane, city gas) it is 0,1 bar.

Tubes are supplied in the size shown in the column L1. During assembly they can be stretched up to the length shown in column L2. Unlimited lifetime for current use represents a new safety standard against the usually used rubber hoses.

KOMBIFLEX

Flexible stainless-steel tubes for gas and water

GAS: This system is intended for easy connection of gas appliances and/or repair or exchange of damaged piping. Assembly of gas pipes may be done only by a company authorized to work with gas appliances. For assembly only the approved nuts and gaskets may be used.

WATER: This system is intended for pressure piping containing either potable water(Kombiflex is certified for potable water) or water for industrial purposes. It is suitable for connecting storage water heaters, boilers, radiators, faucets, dishwashers. wherever the advantages of a quick assembly and flexibility are appreciated.

IN GENERAL:The connecting tubes are made of stainless steel, easily shapeable, intended for fixed connections. Once installed, the tube and its bends shall be free from any stress. Usual elbows can be simply substituted by bent tubes (respecting the min. bend radius). The tubes are supplied in colis of 2, 4 or more meters and cut to the desired length on the spot, using the special tools supplied in the toolbox. In order to ensure sufficient tightness, Kombiflex must be connected to fittings of sufficient sealing surface (wall thickness) only - see the chart of fittings supplied. When installing Kombiflex, please follow the instructions and pictures shown in the instruction manual.

KOMBIFLEX RESILIENCE:

The tube can be freely bent, respecting its min. bend radius. The minimum inner bend radius must not be smaller than twice the pipe‘s outer diameter. Torsional strain must be avoided. That shall be respected esp. during nuts tightening and in selecting the connecting position with regard to possible moves that might cause torsion to the tube. When installing Kombiflex, please follow the instructions and pictures shown in the instruction manual. The tube must not get in touch with mortar/concrete. When installing the pipe into a wall, use e.g. Aeroflex insulation to protect it also from contact with mortar/concrete. Its service life is unlimited under normal use. Warranty period is 2 years. No extra precautions are required for transport and storing.

SPECIAL TOOLS FOR PREPARING GAS AND WATER TUBES ON THE SPOT

A toolbox (code 3834) contains a tube cutter, two tube clamps and a DN 8 to DN 20 manual termination press, 4x 10 chrome-plated cap nuts with gaskets.

HOW TO MAKE KOMBIFLEX GAS AND WATER TUBES BY MEANS OF A HAND STROKE PRESS:

Measure the length needed and add 4 "waves". Do not forget bends!
Cut the measured tube portion using the tube cutter contained in the toolbox. Try to make as smooth cut as possible since it will influence the quality of the sealing surface.
Slide the cap nut onto the pipe and insert the tube end of the into the respective opening in the clamp. The tube must be inserted in such a way that 2 "waves" protrude from the clamp on the side without the recess.
Insert the clamp into the jig with movable piston so that the protruding "waves" point against the stroke side of the piston.
Repeatedly strike the pipe head by the piston until a flat sealing surface is formed. This can be heard very well, the originally dampened sound will change to sharp metal-like sound when sealing surface is ready. Repeat the procedure for the other tube end.
Now the tube is ready to be mounted in its place. Shape it
into the desired form and use the appropriate gaskets

UNIWATER FLEXIBLE & EXTENSIBLE HOSES

Shapeable stainless-steel hose for water, easily extends up to double its original length.

uniwater

These hoses are designed to connect easily to water piping. The material used, AISI321L stainless steel 0.21 mm thick, together with its design make it possible to extend the hose to double its original length. The hose also permits almost unlimited shaping. Thanks to that, connection without useless bends and sags can be achieved.

The hoses are available in various lengths and diameters, with threaded fittings on both ends. The connection threads are in 1/2“, 3/4“, 1“, 5/4“, 6/4“ and 2“ sizes, in combination of a male and female thread. The operating temperature range is from -10 to +90 °C.

Instructions for installation and use of UNIWATER hoses

  1. Connect the fitting to the water piping using a suitable quantity of Teflon tape on the thread. Then screw it manually without tightening (for female threaded water piping) or first insert the supplied gasket into the female fitting and screw manually (for male threaded water piping). Then repeat for the other connection of the flexible hose.

  2. Place the appliance to its definitive position. Make sure the hose is not stressed by torsion and then tighten both the fittings with a spanner.

  3. Check the connection for leaks. If leaks are found, close the valve and tighten the threaded connection again. Then re-check. Make sure the hose is designed for the flow rate needed for your intended use. Install it according to valid rules and best practice. Respect the instructions from the hose and appliance manufacturers, incl. the requirements on the position and direction of the connection.

It is forbidden to

  1. Connect the hose in rooms with the ambient temperature above 60 °C.

  2. Connect two or more hoses together.

  3. The hose may not get in touch with mortar or concrete. For installation into a wall, use thermal insulation that will protect the hose from contact with mortar or concrete .

  4. Install this hose before a reduction valve.

  5. Install this hose if any doubts exist on the compatibility of its accessories, the appliance or the water connection point.

Note

  1. From time to time, check occasionally the min. bend radius of the hose. It shall never be smaller than the value shown in the chart above.

  2. Max. water pressure shall not exceed the values in the chart above. If there is a risk of exceeding the max. pressure, install a pressure reducer.

  3. If any part of the hose gets damaged or destroyed, the whole hose shall be replaced.

  4. Modification to any part of the hose will make the warranty null and void.
